Christmas Tree Elegance, which began in 1983, is the largest of our annual fundraisers. This highly anticipated event is the culmination of 11 months of planning and efforts by our tireless volunteers. 2023 has been our largest year –  462,529 raffle tickets were sold, and we are hopeful that number will continue to grow each year.

Volunteer and Create a Tree Team

Christmas Tree Elegance Tree Teams need volunteer members with organizational skill, attention to detail, creativity, persuasion, follow through and a willingness to work hard and have fun. Some teams satisfy these needs with 3 members. Some teams are made up of 5-7 people.

Each team is asked to satisfy 4 basic commitments: 1.) Funding in one of four tree categories, 2.) Decorating with WOW factors, 3.) Abiding by procurement procedures and 4.) Participating within established deadlines.

Training for Tree Team Volunteers

Monthly training sessions are held on the 1st Monday evening of each month from March through November. Throughout the year specialty training events may be scheduled and culminate with the walk through of the tree display sites and logistics at the historic Davenport Hotel and River Park Square locations.
